Our nervous system, or our mind helps us to experience the world through our senses. We use language and other forms of communication to make meaning inside our minds. For example, we use pictures, sounds, feelings, smells, tastes, and our internal dialog (self talk). Our words don’t just describe the world we live in but determine it.
Stress is often defined as a bodily response to the demands of life. You get what you focus on. It’s important to be in charge of what you focus on. So you have to focus on what you want then push pass or stretch a bit more.
When you visualize doing things, your body is creating pathways and memories of how to do that action and or how to heal from a past action. Visualization is a simple technique that you can use to create a strong mental image of a future event or heal from a past event. By visualizing success, you can build the self-confidence you need to heal from a past trauma.
